Liz Earle Sheer Tint SPF 15 Foundation Review

R.R.P £21.00

I love the idea of a tinted moisturiser or sheer foundation that gives a nice light coverage whilst giving the same skin perfecting results of something heavier. I was very excited to try this makeup from a brand which I have never tried before’ Liz Earle’, the samples may I say were very generous giving one sachet for each available colour:

The samples came in;

  • Bare 01 (Fair skin tones
  • Beige 02 (Medium skin tones)
  • Beach 03 (Medium to dark skin tones)

Although this doesn’t seem like a great colour range I would stress that the colours are extremely blendable and sheer.

I love the fact that this tint has an SPF and is a mineral based with added vitamin E, borage and avocado, a makeup that has skin benefits is always a plus!

Obviously these swathes are layed pretty thick So that the colours can be seen.

So how did it do?

This product is and does what it says ‘A Sheer Tint’, I obviously tested the Bare 01 on my pale skin and I felt that this product went on really smoothly, the creamy texture is easily spread over your face giving a very thin veil of colour and a lovely glow.

I applied it as recommended with my fingers putting a dot on my head, nose and chin and spreading them out, I did add a little extra on areas where I tend to redden or have a few small breakouts. I love the healthy glow this gave my skin and I have to say this lasted all day, I had to use a little loose powder just over my t-zone but bar that this was very much apply and go!

On a day to day basis I do prefer a more medium coverage especially if I am having a bad skin day but this would be a defiant addition to my holiday bag or if I’m going out on a hot day and I don’t want anything heavy on my face. I intend to purchase a full size bottle of this and investigate other products by Liz Earle http://uk.lizearle.com/.
