A simple look using Revlon ‘ColourStay’ Eyeshadow

R.R.P £7.99

New from Revlon comes these ‘ColourStay’ eyeshadows which give 16hrs of wear! I picked up a palette at the introductory price of £5.99, I am a fan of Revlon shadows anyway, I find that they easily compete with high ends brands so would be willing to pay the R.R.P £7.99.

The palettes feature 4 different complementing shades and I decided to create todays look using 530 ‘Seductive’ palette which features a mix of pinky purples ranging from pale to dark. I have gone for a really simple take to give an every day look and I have just used the palest of the 4 available colour (Numbers 1 & 2).

I used my favourite EcoTool brushes to complete this look, using their eyeshadow brush to cover the whole eyelid into the crease with the palest shade and then using they eyeliner smudging brush to cover my lid (nearest the lash line) with colour 2.  On my deep set eyes these colours really have a nice subtle effect that draws attention nicely without being over the top for every day. I completed the look with Estee Lauder ‘zero-smudge liquid eyeliner’ in graphite rather than black to keep the look subtle.

EcoTools Brushes and Estee Lauder Double wear Zero smudge eyeliner in Graphite.

I hope this look shows how versatile these shadows are and even if you are not a pro like myself how you can use them to adapt to a look that suits you. These Revlon colourstay  shadows can be applied at whatever intensity you prefer for more or less colour. The biggest bonus of the shadows is they stay put all day, after a day at work these had hardly worn off at all!
